nice two Meat U

Now Korea has a ton of Korean BBQ places, there is literally one on every corner, although here I guess they just call them BBQ. I just want to point one out that has a nice little twist to it. This place actually has a few different locations that I know of and probably more that I don’t know of. The location that I have been to is in Hyehwa and I know of another location in Hongdae.

Probably my favorite thing about this place is the name and at first glance, you might think that’s the only unique thing about it. nice two Meat u is famous for its 44 seconds BBQ. One might ask why 44 seconds? Essentially that is how long they will claim it takes for them to fully cook you some delicious samgyeopsal (essentially really thick bacon).

They will even put a timer on every table to prove it. The waiter will come by and rub a piece of fat on the grill to make it nice and oily and check the temperature to make sure its the perfect 250 degrees.

Once the temperature is just right they will place weight on top of the meat too I assume help it to cook faster.

As you can see this place has a nice little twist to traditional Korean BBQ. Personally I think its a nice twist and at a really affordable price. I think this is a place that everyone needs to check out.

They also have some really good nontraditional sides, like this Mac and Cheese.
