Seoul Escape Room

Something I did last weekend that I highly recommend to many people. It was a lot of fun and a nice challenge for me and my friends.

Escape rooms are something that has been spreading to almost everywhere on the planet and Seoul is no exception with several options. One of the largest companies in Seoul, with a few different locations, is Seoul Escape Room. I have to say that the first time a person does an escape room, they might be completely lost; however, the second time you will know what to expect. I myself was an absolut useless person the first time I did an escape room, I had no idea what was going on. The second time I figured out a few different clues and really helped out.

Let me explain if you do not know what an escape room is. Essentially it is a room that you and some friends are locked into voluntarily. To get out of the room (or escape), you have to solve and complete a series of different puzzles, from figuring out a locks combo, to finding a certain item in the room, all by clues given to you in different ways. Before you enter the room, every person is given a piece of paper with that room's “story” on it. The story will explain who you are supposed to be, why you are locked in the room, and the different rules that the room has. Obviously, you are not locked in this room forever if you can’t figure out the puzzles as you are on a time limit, and typically it is one hour. After the time is up, you will be let out no matter what, but what is the fun in just waiting out the clock.

Something that is Unique about the Seoul Escape Room, is that almost all of their rooms are connected to at least one other room. They offer a series of rooms, and the stories build on each other, and sometimes you have to go to a different branch in Seoul to fully complete the story. This makes it a little more fun as you now have different levels to complete.

Even if you are not in Seoul, I think everyone should get out and try the local escape room as I am sure wherever you live, one is sure to be not too far away.
